28th Annual Design/Build Competition
Canstruction Houston produces a unique competition where Houston area architects, engineers and construction firms, and students build creative and ingenious structures using canned food and other non-perishable food items. All items are donated to the Houston Food Bank to help provide food for better lives.
Houston Food Bank contributes by assisting in both the construction and deconstruction of the sculptures, after judging.
Apple Corps Leaders´ assistance has been requested for the following dates and times:
- November 16th 6:00 am to 10:00 am: Direct and assist architect and engineering teams to unload can goods into build areas to prep for November 17th build day
- November 24th 6:00 am to 10:00 am: Assist in various ways to deconstruct sculptures built.
If you’d like to be a part of this amazing event where art, engineering, and hunger relief collide, respond to this opportunity! Please note which date you’d like to participate in when you respond.
We will reach out to you after you respond to relay parking and relevant event information.
