I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out on behalf of the Center for Student Engagement at the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL).
We are committed to fostering strong connections between our students and the local community, and we would love to invite your organization to be a key part of this effort.
We are hosting our Community Engagement Fair on Wednesday, April 15th, 2:00-4:30 PM, and we would love your organization to participate! This fair is designed to connect our students with impactful service opportunities, internships, and long-term volunteer commitments with organizations like yours. We believe that by providing students with direct access to meaningful service work, we can inspire a new generation of dedicated volunteers who are invested in making a difference.
Service Week 2026 – Community Engagement Fair: Parking Details & Event Information

Thank you so much for participating in the Service Week 2026 – Community Engagement Fair! We’re excited to have you join us and truly appreciate your support in engaging with our students and campus community.
I’ve attached the campus map along with the parking information you’ll need for the day.
We strongly recommend entering “UHCL Visitor Parking” into Google Maps, which will direct you to Lot R, the most convenient location for this event.
Your complimentary parking code is included below.

Parking Pass
We will provide complimentary parking in Visitor Lot R, as indicated on the attached campus map.
Once you enter the visitor lot, please follow the steps below at the kiosk:
- Push
any key to start the machine
(It is solar powered and needs a key pressed to wake it up.) - Select 3) Daily $5 and press OK
- Enter the number of days (usually just one) and press OK
- When asked “Do you have a Promo Code?”, select 1) Yes
- Enter the promo code: STL4607
- The machine will print a ticket — please place the ticket face‑up on your dashboard.
Event Day Details
When you arrive, ushers will be stationed at the entrance of the Bayou Building to guide you to Atrium I and to your assigned table.
The Community Engagement
Fair will run from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
Please plan to stay for the full duration of the event so students can connect
with everyone throughout the afternoon.
We encourage you to
arrive at 1:00 PM to begin setting up your items.
Arriving at this time ensures you have plenty of time to unload, get settled,
and ask any last‑minute questions. It also provides a wonderful opportunity to
connect and network with fellow organizations, community partners, and UHCL
departments before students arrive.
We kindly ask that all tables be fully set and ready by 1:45 PM, so the space is prepared and welcoming when we open to students at 2:00 PM.
A table and chairs will be ready for you upon arrival. If you find you need a tablecloth at the last minute, please let us know — we may be able to provide one.
