It´s time to start staffing for Channel 13 and Houston Food Bank’s annual Share Your Holidays phone bank event!
English and Spanish-speaking volunteers are needed to take orders from families throughout the area served by the Houston Food Bank. Help us provide Food for Better Lives during this holiday season!
The phone bank will occur over three days and across three shifts each day. Volunteers will answer calls to register families to receive food for the holidays. They will help them locate a Share Your Holidays pick-up site, and then get them signed up.
Volunteers will be trained at the beginning of each shift and be provided with a call script/guide. Feel free to bring your favorite cup of coffee and a small snack to your shift!
The phone bank will take place on December 2nd, 3rd and 4th. You may sign up for as many shifts as you’d like. Shift times are as follows.
9:45 am to 1:00 pm
12:45 pm to 4:00 pm
3:45 pm to 7:00 pm.
