Description

Join us for an engaging and educational HOSA Health Education Workshop! HOSA is a global, student-led organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services, and multiple federal and state agencies for its commitment to future health leaders.

This workshop will be presented by competing HOSA students Michelle Phan and Annie Sun, who also serves as our Student Hero Communication Chair. Together, they will guide you through an insightful session designed to deepen your knowledge of food insecurity and strengthen your ability to advocate for healthier, more resilient communities

What You’ll Learn:
• How food insecurity affects physical and mental health, including its role in conditions such as diabetes, obesity, and other chronic diseases.
• Common misconceptions about food insecurity and why understanding them is essential for your service as a Student Hero.
• Practical ways you can help reduce food insecurity in your own community.

  • Valuable experience that also strengthens your resume and leadership skills.

We look forward to learning and growing together as we continue providing food for better lives.
