Volunteer: Welcome Desk 1st & 2nd Shift Saturday

The welcome desk is looking for friendly faces to greet volunteers and community members. These ACLs are the first impression that people have when walking into the food bank. The duties are as follows:

Checking in volunteers using Civicore Entering data from paper sign-in sheets Printing hour verification forms Preparing hour verification documents for an HFB employee to sign  Unlocking lockers for those who have been locked out Contacting various departments through Microsoft Teams when people arrive for appointments or meetings Directing community members to various rooms for meetings Other duties as assigned by Volunteer Services Leadership

Please arrive at the time listed on the opportunity. Check-in for each volunteer shift starts 15 minutes before the hour. If this is your first time signing up for this opportunity, you may not sign up for first shift (8:00am) on a Saturday. -Unsorted Dry
-Meat Sort
-Carousel (First Sort)
-Carousel (Second Sort)
-Carousel (Side of the Line)

1-4pm Monday -Sat

Support Crew Expectations:

Shadow and assist project leads.Students in the support crew are the go-to and expert in the projects side jobs (recycling, palatizing, box-making, and restocking)Identify and address project mistakestouch tables, identify bottle necks around the project area, and critical thinking skills to solve problems.Support the foodbank during the production shift by being a lobby support attendantassist the welcome with signing volunteers in, deliver safety presentations and offer tourslead volunteers that arrive late to the designated project area.Attending the various leadership development workshops targeted on leadership development and project leading.
